My name is Zainab Al-Hajri, and I am proud to be the first female employee at the College of Engineering at the National University of Science and Technology, formerly known as Caledonian College of Engineering. My journey began in 1996 when I joined the college as a receptionist and administrator. Driven by my passion for learning and self-improvement, I gradually developed my skills and knowledge, eventually leading to my appointment as a Library Assistant.
In 2010, after taking several courses and years of hard work, I was promoted to the position of Librarian. This was a significant milestone in my career, and I am very proud of how far I have come since those early days. I have always strived to make a positive contribution to the institution and support the needs of students, staff and visitors.
The institution’s transformation into a university in 2018 marked a new chapter, and I continue to enjoy my role, having spent over two decades serving this wonderful community. Witnessing and being a part of this university’s growth has been a truly rewarding experience.
On a personal level, I am married with four children. As I continue my journey with the College of Engineering-National University, I take great pride in my accomplishments and look forward to many more years of service.
