MSc. Information Technology degree is awarded by National University of Science and Technology, provides knowledge in the specialized area of IT, embedded with creative and managerial skills to meet the current and future demands of the industry. The program is structured with three concentrations namely Cloud computing, Big data, and the Internet of things, Advanced Computer Networking and Cybersecurity to produce graduates with specialized knowledge. The program also nurtures independent thinking and creativity that enhances the students with skills and knowledge to pursue a career in industries at the middle or higher management positions or embark in research and doctoral degrees in Information Technology, Computer Networking, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Cyber-security or related disciplines. The specialized courses in each concentration provide opportunities to specialize in state-of-the-art technologies.

Entry Criteria

  • Candidates holding Bachelor degree or equivalent in any related discipline like BSc. Information Technology, BSc Information System, BSc. Computing, BSc. Computer Science, BSc Computer Engineering, BSc Software technologies, BSc Networking and Database administration, BSc Hardware and Networking, BSc Computer and Internet Applications, BSc Web design and development, BSc Computing and User experience, BSc Web design and Information Security, BSc Database management System.
  • Candidates holding Bachelor degree in any related discipline like BEng Electronic and Electrical Engineering, BSc (Commerce & Economics )- Marketing and Information system, BSc Management Information System, BSc Business and Information technology, BSc E-Business, BSc Sound Design, BA Business administration – Information System pathway, Systems track , BA – Mass communication  with an appropriate and relevant experience of minimum three years in any relevant field will be admitted after the approval interview at National University.
  • Applicants must have CGPA of not less than “GOOD” or equivalent. Pass grade will be accepted if the candidate is having at least two years of experience in the field of specialisation.
  • Experienced students with a diploma or advanced diploma will also be considered as per the MoHERI regulations.
  • Proficiency in the English language equivalent to IELTS band 6 or TOEFL score 550 or its equivalents. Students with IELTS band 5.0 – 5.5 will also be considered subject to successful completion of PQP1/PQP2 course conducted by the university
