The Bassma Theater and cinema club participated in the Second University Street Theater Festival on Feb 28, 2023. They presented their captivating “Hopes for Sale” production at Sharkia University, receiving widespread acclaim and earning multiple awards.

The talented student cast and crew delivered outstanding performances, garnering recognition for their remarkable achievements. Malak Almazrooi, a gifted student, was honoured with the prestigious Jury Award for Best Actress, showcasing her exceptional acting abilities. Abdullah Al Alawi, another talented student, was recognized with the Best 2nd Actor Award for his compelling portrayal of his character.

The success of “Hopes for Sale” extended beyond individual performances, as the production was acknowledged with the esteemed Best Theater Scripts Award. This accolade highlights the production team’s exceptional writing and storytelling skills, further enhancing the play’s impact on the audience.
