The Life Saving 4 Campaign, organized by the Hiba Volunteering Club in collaboration with the Students Affairs Office, stands as a noble initiative to promote blood donation and empower students to conquer their fears associated with this vital act.
Each year, the dedicated Hiba volunteer team organizes this crucial campaign to inspire participation and raise awareness about the importance of blood donation. By dispelling misconceptions and fostering a culture of compassion and service, the campaign seeks to save lives significantly.
The response to this year’s campaign was remarkable, with 200 students and employees expressing their willingness to donate blood. Out of this number, 128 individuals had already successfully presented, demonstrating their commitment to making a difference in the lives of those in need. Their selfless donation of blood highlights the student community’s compassion and empathy.
However, it is important to acknowledge that not all potential donors could participate due to various factors. Inadequate nutrition, excessive caffeine consumption, low body weight, and insufficient haemoglobin levels were some of the challenges faced by individuals who could not donate. Nonetheless, these obstacles served as a reminder of the importance of maintaining good health and understanding the eligibility criteria for blood donation
