Six students from Level 3 Computer Engineering and ITMB programs showcased their talent and commitment by taking part in the 10th Oman Collegiate Programming Contest (OCPC2023) held at Sultan Qaboos University. This contest, held on October 31st and November 1st, 2023, featured a participation of 95 teams, including 195 participants from various universities and colleges across Oman. Dr. Ramakrishna Kumar and Dr. Vijayalakshmi from Electrical and Communication Engineering are the coaches for the College teams. On October 31st, the teams dedicated themselves to training and practice sessions, fully preparing for the main contest held on November 1st, 2023. Our teams strove to achieve a top-20 ranking with all their efforts. Even though they didn’t secure a win, the contest proved to be an invaluable experience for them. It served as a powerful motivator, significantly broadening their horizons within the programming world. Furthermore, these contests offered a platform for students not only to compete but also to collaborate and exchange ideas with their peers.
