International symposium on Technology on Applications of Artificial Intelligence on digital platform

Oman’s National University’s College of Engineering jointly organized an International symposium on 2nd November, 2022, in Muscat with Shiraz University of Technology on Applications of Artificial Intelligence on digital platform with more than 100 delegates from Malaysia, South Korea, India and Iran attending it.

  1. Dr Falah Younis Hamode, Faculty of Computing at Sohar University, Oman, delivered a keynote speech on “Artificial Intelligence Impact on Fighting Hate Speech in Social Media”.
  2. Dr Reza Javidan, Faculty of Computing and IT, Shiraz University, delivered a keynote speech on “Artificial Intelligence and Iot: The Revolution”.
  3. Prof V.Rajinikanth, Faculty of Savetha School of Engineering, India, delivered a key note speech on Applications of AI in Health care 
  4. Dr Mohsen Eslami, faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Shiraz University delivered keynote speech on Artificial Intelligence Empowered Wireless communication networks”

The organizing committee received 18 papers from different partnering Universities, and after peer review the following 13 papers were selected for presenting in the conference.

  6. Machine learning based mobile application for Financial Management for college students in Oman
  7. Automatic News Agency Detection from News Content
  8. Smart Weather Forecasting for Smart Agriculture and Cities Using Machine Learning
  9. The Role of Cryptography in Ensuring the Confidentiality and Integrity of Medical Records in Healthcare Organizations
  10. Develop a forecasting device for energy audit using Artificial Neural Networks
  11. Multi-GANs for colorize images with harmony state
  12. An Efficient Method for Management of Wireless Sensor Networks to Take Care of Elderly People
  13. Internet of Things (IoT) based health monitoring system using Body Sensors

Finally after presentation the following three papers were selected for the award by the jury members.

Best research award:  Mr Ali Shamekhi, Shiraz University

Best paper presentation  award:  Ms Fatemeh jamali, Shiraz University
Title:  Automatic News Agency Detection from News Content

Best project Presentation award:  Ms Mohsina Kamarudeen, National University
