The National University of Science and Technology successfully organized an educational excursion to the Oman Across Ages Museum for 15 students from the College of Engineering and the College of Pharmacy. Led by Dr Mubarak Al Quraini and coordinated by Mr Mohammed Al Balushi, the visit aimed to enrich students’ understanding of Oman’s cultural evolution and strengthen classroom learning through experiential engagement.
The group departed from the Al Hail Campus at 9:15 AM and arrived at the museum by 11:00 AM, where the museum’s tourist guide warmly welcomed them.
Students received an insightful briefing on the museum’s vision and its role in narrating Oman’s historical transformation from prehistoric settlements to the modern Renaissance. Through interactive galleries, archaeological exhibits, and multimedia displays, students explored the nation’s political, social, and economic milestones.
Following the guided introduction, students enjoyed independent exploration time, engaging deeply with exhibitions aligned to their academic interests. Their active participation reflected a strong curiosity and appreciation for Oman’s heritage.
The visit concluded with the group returning to the university campus at 5:00 PM, following a rich and inspiring educational experience. The National University extends its sincere appreciation to the museum’s administration and all relevant parties for facilitating and organizing this visit, in recognition of their role in supporting the educational mission and providing an interactive environment that enhances students’ awareness and engagement with the nation’s cultural heritage.
