Culture Day at the College of Engineering National University is an eager event to promote cooperation among students and celebrate the vibrant cultures of participating countries. On Mar 12, 2023, this one-day event offers a unique platform for students to showcase their cultural heritage and foster cross-cultural understanding.
The event’s centrepiece is the Cultures Exhibition, which features dedicated corners for each participating country. These corners serve as vibrant hubs where students proudly display artefacts, traditional attire, artwork, music, and other aspects of their respective cultures. Through interactive displays and engaging presentations, attendees can immerse themselves in each country’s diverse traditions, customs, and history.
In addition to the Cultures Exhibition, the Culture Day program includes various activities and competitions. A welcome board greets visitors with live music performances by the Music Group, creating an inviting and festive atmosphere. Attendees are then encouraged to explore the exhibition, moving from one country’s corner to another, engaging with students and learning firsthand about their cultural practices and values.
To add a touch of excitement and friendly competition, a best costume competition is organized, encouraging students to showcase traditional attire and accessories from their respective cultures. This competition not only celebrates the beauty and diversity of traditional costumes but also highlights students’ pride in representing their heritage.
Various competitions between teams are organized throughout the day to promote collaboration and teamwork. These friendly contests may include cultural quizzes, traditional games, or performances that showcase the talents and skills of participating students. Such activities create a sense of camaraderie and provide a platform for students to demonstrate their cultural knowledge and abilities.
