Condition Monitoring Skill Sets for Oil and Gas Engineering Industry

The College of Engineering, MIE Department, successfully hosted a three-day workshop on Condition Monitoring Skill Sets for the Oil and Gas Engineering Industry from November 26 to 28, 2023. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ skill sets in condition monitoring, a crucial aspect of the oil and gas engineering industry. The esteemed Engز Mohammed Al Busaidi from Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) conducted the workshop Eng. Mohammed is one of the members of the Industry and Community Engagement Committee (ICEC). 

The workshop covered a comprehensive range of topics related to condition monitoring, including vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and acoustic emission monitoring. Engr. Mohammed Al Busaidi, with his extensive experience in the industry, shared valuable insights and practical knowledge to provide students with a thorough understanding of condition monitoring. The workshop saw active participation from students, creating an interactive and engaging learning environment. Eng. Al Busaidi’s practical demonstrations and real-world examples resonated well with the students, enhancing their grasp of the concepts discussed. Students actively participated in hands-on activities and case studies, reinforcing their understanding of condition-monitoring techniques.
