An Alumni guest lecture on “Professional work Ethics at Process Industries” was organized by the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, College of Engineering, National University of Science and Technology on 12th May 2022 for the benefit of the student community under AIChE Student Chapter at PC 045. This guest lecture was presented by Engineer Salim Al-Shukaili, Process Optimization Engineer, PDO, Oman.
The workshop covered the various aspects of Engg ethics/work ethics & legal issues, social responsibility, two dimensions of ethics in engineering, types of engineering ethics, professional employee rights, and various aspects of engineering practices in manufacturing and process industries. It was a highly informative session for the benefit of the student community, particularly for the level 3 & 4 students.
More than 45 students and staff members participated in this event. The topic and information which was provided to the audience is the need of the hour and it was well-received. Students gave positive feedback about this talk. MIE Department takes this opportunity to thank the Engineer Mr. Salim for sharing his knowledge with fellow undergraduate students.
