A delegation from the EIDAAD Team presented the awareness programme for students from the different specializations of the College of Engineering, National University, on March 6th, 2024, to introduce the purpose, benefits and registration process of the “EIDAAD” program.
As part of the efforts to enhance industrial and academic cooperation, that is, bridging the gap between industrial and academic institutions, EIDAAD is a valuable collaboration between The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MOHERI) and Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), other Industries in cooperation with academic institutions. The program aims to provide a combined internal training program for a full academic year that focuses on upgrading highly skilled students, developing their practical abilities and building their practical technical skills before graduation.
The College Dean, Dr Ahmed Al Bulushi, together with the College faculty members, welcomed the delegation headed by Mr Hamed Al-Hadhrami, External Learning & Development Manager, and discussed cultivating the roles of educational institutions in building the students” capabilities and practical experiences to achieve compatibility with the needs of the labour market and the industries. Engineer Aflah AL Naamani from PDO presented the critical aspects of the EIDAAD training framework at PDO and discussed and clarified students’ doubts about the Programme. Prof Sudhir and Ms Etab organized and hosted this event to benefit COE engineering students.
