Students in the Engineering Department at International Maritime College Oman engage in a wide range of activities that strengthen their skills, refine their personalities, and contribute to the development of their careers. Therefore, students join the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AlChE) to enhance their skills and broaden their perceptions of chemical engineering by integrating the theoretical and practical parts of learning.
IMCO-AIChE Student Chapter (Established in January 2022) is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers which is the world’s largest professional organization for chemical engineers, with more than 60,000 members in more than 110 countries. AIChE allows students, engineers and members from different countries, cultures and educational institutions to communicate with the members of International Maritime College Oman in order to share ideas, experiences, information and everything new in the field of chemical engineering.
Moreover, AIChE members have access to a wide range of resources, including scholarship opportunities, awards, unlimited access to the AIChE eLibrary, conferences and training, archival webinars, and many more.
The Engineering Department has decided to establish this student chapter in order to organize a variety of events during the academic year as a way to enhance students’ experiences, increase their interaction, and assist them in developing their personal skills.
