Charity Bike BuildAthon workshop

As a part of Community Engagement and initiatives in NU. IMCO volunteering Club
(Ghaymah) conducted an innovative workshop called “charity bike buildathon” on
Tuesday 6th February,2024.

Three members of staff and 20 students participated in this workshop. In the theory phase, Prof. Abdelghani Benayoune head of research & graduate studies, presented and discussed how to build collaborative skills.

After that, the practical phase started. It was facilitated by Talib Al Yaquobi and Abdullah Al Buriki. This phase started with the installation of the bike’s parts, decorating, and testing them.

During the workshop, it exhibited the participants’ ability to complete the assigned work to them and their skills in the installation process and cooperation with others to achieve the mission on time. All the bikes will be donated to charitable centers and teams.

The Charity Bike BuildAthon workshop is a starting point for a charitable Community Engagement project that we plan in IMCO to implement next year with participation from all Governmental and private entities and charitable institutions.
