The University was established in September 2018, by the merging of three leading colleges: Caledonian College of Engineering (CCE) established in 1996, located in Al Hail (the First Engineering College in Oman to have received Institutional accreditation from Oman Academic Accreditation Agency (OAAA)), Oman Medical College (OMC)– with a history dating back to 2001, located in Sohar and OMC Department of Pharmacy – established in 2003 and located in Baushar (within in OMC) which became the College of Pharmacy in 2018. All are renowned for their excellence in education, research, and services.
