Student Advisory Council

The Student Advisory Council (SAC) at National University has 16 elected members and two representatives are from the General Foundation Program, including the President and Vice-president.  SAC functions through its three committees:  Academic Committee, Student Services Committee, and Activities & Initiatives Committee. Nomination and election of SAC members is guided by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research & Innovation (MoHERI) Regulatory Guide of Students Advisory Councils and every student has the right to cast a vote in elections. Each student has one vote only.

Responsibilities of SAC

  • Contribute to the improvement and development of educational and services provided to students.
  • Enhance transparency principles and encourage constructive opinions and commitment to polite dialogue among students.
  • Develop awareness of being productive and creative citizens who practice human and social activities in a responsible manner.
  • Develop spiritual, moral values and national feeling, proudness of the nation, its culture, heritage, high ideals and values.
  • Improve student activities in all scientific, cultural, social, sport, artistic and other constructive fields.
  • Embed values of volunteer work principles to support charitable activities and projects.
