Program Description:

The BSc in Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a comprehensive 4-year undergraduate program meticulously crafted to impart foundational knowledge and practical applications of AI. By completing the AI program, students not only equip themselves with technical prowess but also contribute to solving complex problems through the application of intelligent technologies. Program Description:

The BSc in Artificial Intelligence aims to prepare students to:

  • Apply the knowledge and skills to develop practical solutions for real-world engineering problems with an understanding of integrating Artificial Intelligence theory and principles in societal, economic, global, and environmental contexts.
  • Inculcate the ability to improve their knowledge and skills to become successful entrepreneur or employable by continuously improving the knowledge on Advanced Artificial Intelligence techniques.
  • Become a change agent by showing social skill, responsibility, working in groups as well as displaying leadership skills to contribute for the overall strength and well-being of society through service and commitment.

Show ethical and professional attitude in developing Artificial Intelligent System and adapt to global work environment through lifelong learning.

Admission Requirements:

  • Pass in General Education Diploma or equivalent with a grade not less than “C” in Mathematics.

Note: Students will be placed at an appropriate level of study based on the outcome of the NU Placement Test.

Program Articulation –

Students who have completed 12 years of schooling, from any academic stream that includes mathematics, are eligible to enrol in this program, given they meet the admission criteria. Upon graduation, students will have diverse career prospects, including roles such as AI Engineer/Developer, Data Scientist, AI Researcher, AI Product Manager, NLP Engineer, AI Application Developer, and Programmer/Software Developer. Furthermore, graduates can opt for advanced studies in specialized areas of AI and ML, leading to master’s and PhD degrees, before embarking on their professional journey.

International Internship and Collaborations:

NU has academic collaborations with USC, WVU in the USA and GCU in the UK. It is currently seeking collaboration with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore for its academic programs offered at the College of Advanced Technology, including BSc in Artificial Intelligence.
