Program Description:

The Bachelor of Science in Blockchain Technology is a forward-thinking undergraduate programme designed to equip students with both a strong theoretical foundation and practical expertise in blockchain and decentralized technologies. Program Objectives:

The BSc in Blockchain Technology aims to prepare students to:

Admission Requirements:

  • Pass in General Education Diploma or equivalent with a grade not less than “C” in Mathematics.

Note: Students will be placed at an appropriate level of study based on the outcome of the NU Placement Test.

Program Articulation:

Students who have completed 12 years of schooling from any academic stream that includes mathematics are eligible to enrol in this programme, provided they meet the specified admission criteria. The BSc Blockchain Technology programme is designed to equip students with a strong foundation in blockchain systems, distributed ledger technologies, cryptographic principles, and decentralized application development.

Upon graduation, students will be qualified for a diverse range of emerging and high-growth roles such as Blockchain Developer, Blockchain Architect, Smart Contract Developer, Crypto Analyst, Blockchain Project Manager, Decentralized Application (DApp) Developer, Blockchain Quality Engineer, and Blockchain Consultant. These roles are in demand across a variety of sectors, including finance and banking, supply chain management, healthcare, insurance, cybersecurity, legal services, and government organizations exploring blockchain integration.

NU has academic collaborations with USC, WVU in the USA and GCU in the UK. It is currently seeking collaboration with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore for its academic programs offered at the College of Advanced Technology, including BSc in Artificial Intelligence.
