On Monday, the 16th Sep 2019, College of Pharmacy, one of the constituent colleges under the newly formed National University (NU), welcomed the freshers of the pharmacy program for the academic year 2019-2020, The college organized an Orientation Program for the new students during which 85 freshers were inducted into BPharm program. These new students were upbeat and found to be full of energy & enthusiasm with an unbound interest to pursue the 4-year degree program.
The main objective of the Orientation Program is to make students aware of the academic aspects of the degree course, the academic and non-academic regulations of the University and roles and responsibilities of students and much more.
Dr Jayasekhar, Head of the Pharmacy Program, in his brief address at the event, welcomed the new students and gave them an overview of the program, learning outcomes, graduate attributes and guidelines for successful achievement of the course objectives. He delivered an oath of integrity to the new comers in order to inculcate the right values. The students went through a brief induction program further by the pharmacy faculty followed by a college touring. The students were introduced to the college faculty members, staff, various facilities and services available to them for use during the course of study.
College of Pharmacy is located within the NU’s headquarters in Bousher and is offering a bachelor program in pharmacy in academic collaboration with the West Virginia University (WVU), USA.
