The National University of Science and Technology organized the “Third Research Day” under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Saif bin Abdullah Al-Hiddabi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation for Research and Innovation, in the presence of Dr. Ali Al Bimani, the Vice-chancellor as well as the senior NU Executives and both faculty and student researchers from the different Colleges. Various stakeholders including industries and community research from various colleges and departments of NU also attended this important event.

The event included a speech delivered by the Vice Chancellor of the University, in which he touched on the most important research achievements that were achieved by the students and faculty members during the academic year 2022/2023. Mr. Mansour Al-Abdali, CEO of OQ, also delivered a speech in which he focused on the most prominent research and field studies related to natural gas networks in the Sultanate of Oman.

‏During the Research Day, 49 papers and many presentations were presented, in addition to more than 22 posters and research projects presented by faculty members and student researchers from the College of Engineering, College of Pharmacy, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, and International Maritime College Oman. The event also featured the prizes and rewards for the best students and faculty categories.
