The 2nd Research day of the National University (NU) will be held on the 3rd of October 2022 at NU headquarters, Bousher under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Khalfan bin Said Al Shuaili Minister of Housing and Urban Planning in the presence of Dr. P Mohamed Ali Pro-Chancellor and Dr. Ali Al Bimani, the Vice-chancellor. NU is making concerted efforts to support and promote research and innovation activities of students and faculty. NU organizes the research day every year to encourage and foster research from various colleges and departments of NU to present their work to various stakeholders including industries and the community.
This research Day will be featured by more than 40 research project posters and exhibitions from constituent colleges. Further, technical sessions will consist of 55 research paper presentations from both faculty and student researchers from the College of Engineering, College of Pharmacy, and College of Medicine and Health Sciences as well as International Maritime College. The most outstanding presentations and best research work of faculty and student categories will be considered for awards and prizes. The keynote speakers from academia and industries will enlighten the session with the latest knowledge in the relevant fields. Prof Anupam Basu, NIT Durgapur, will deliver his speech in the area of Big Data and Machine learning. Mr. Hamed Al Naamany, CEO OmanLNG will highlight the importance of research from Industry perspectives, and Dr. Ahmad Abou Tayoun Director of Genomic Research Center, MBRU UAE will provide an insight on the Genomic landscape of rare diseases in the Middle East, and Dr. Abdullah Al Hatmi, of Nizwa University, will focus on research in Microbiology.
