The first batch of students from the College of Advanced Technology (CAT) had their Student Orientation Program on Wednesday, 18th September 2024. The program introduced the students to key figures within the university and college, as well as the CAT’s roadmap, curriculum, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, and university regulations. The Dean, Professor Vallavaraj Athinarayanan, welcomed the students and provided an overview of the College. Following this, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor & Provost, Dr. Salim Al Araimi, addressed the students, emphasizing the National University’s (NU) commitment to producing quality graduates through continuous support and mentorship.
The Vice-Chancellor, HE Dr. Ali Al Bimani, shared words of wisdom and motivation with the new students. He encouraged them to take full advantage of the university’s facilities and opportunities and to aspire to become job creators rather than job seekers.
After the Vice-Chancellor’s address, key staff members representing various departments, including Student Affairs, Quality Assurance, Admission & Registration, Health, Safety & Environment, IT Support, Library, and the Entrepreneurship Unit, spoke to the students. They outlined the key aspects of their respective operations.
