Reliability Modeling and Analysis of a compressor of an Oil &Natural Gas plant

This project intends to develop some case-specific reliability models from the data on compressors obtained from the maintenance department of an oil and natural gas plant. One such plant in the Sultanate of Oman has been identified for this purpose. For the purpose of analysis, the complete details on failures, repairs, and costs incurred in carrying out the different types of maintenance activities would be collected from the plant. This would be summarized based on the actual data that has been provided by the plant. These estimated rates obtained from the data would be used for modelling and analysis of the plant. Various Reliability indices could be obtained by using the relevant mathematical tools.

Major Objectives:

(i) To analyze the system behaviour of the plant under the given operating conditions (ii) To find the actual estimates from the data obtained from the plant (iii) To develop reliability models based on the estimates for a better understanding of the functioning of the plant.
