The National University of Science and Technology (NU) is a multi-campus, and multidisciplinary academic initiative established by the merger of three renowned professional institutions in Oman, namely, the Caledonian College of Engineering the Oman Medical College; and the College of Pharmacy. In 2022, two more colleges have been added to the University – College of Advanced Technology and the International Maritime College, Oman. NU has academic partnerships with three international universities : Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland, West Virginia University, U.S and University of South Carolina, U.S.
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 1st NU International Higher Education Conference on Health Professions Education—a landmark gathering committed to shaping the future of healthcare education through transformative innovation.
Hosted by the College of Medicine & Health Sciences at the National University of Science & Technology, this inaugural conference serves as a dynamic platform for educators, researchers, policymakers, and thought leaders from around the world. Together, we will explore cutting-edge approaches to health professions education, with a focus on technology integration, competency-based learning, advanced simulation, and interprofessional collaboration.
We are especially proud to feature contributions from renowned international speakers, whose insights and experiences will enrich our discussions and inspire new directions in teaching, learning, and professional development in the health sciences.

Format: 7-minute presentation + 3-minute Q&A (in-person themed session).

Abstract Structure:
