Conference Background

The 1st International Maritime and Logistics Conference (IMLC2026) is a pioneering academic and industry-driven event designed to foster the exchange of knowledge innovation, and strategic collaboration in the maritime and logistics sectors. Bringing together global experts, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders, IMLC2026 will serve as a premier platform to address the evolving challenges and opportunities in an era of rapid transformation. Hosted by the National University of Science and Technology (NU), Oman, and led by the International Maritime College Oman (IMCO), IMLC2026 reflects NU’s commitment to excellence in education, applied research, and impactful industry partnerships. With maritime trade accounting for 90% of global commerce, the industry faces unprecedented pressures from sustainability demands, climate change, and digital disruption. IMLC2026 will explore how these forces are reshaping the movement of goods, people, and ideas, and how stakeholders can navigate this shifting landscape.

We welcome interdisciplinary contributions spanning engineering, computer science, economics, environmental studies, social sciences, and public policy, with a strong emphasis on actionable insights for industry and education. Join us to shape the future of maritime and logistics through innovation, collaboration, and sustainable solutions.

Each full paper will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, ensuring impartial evaluation and high-quality standards. The review process focuses on relevance, originality, clarity, and contribution to maritime and logistics.
