The 13th Annual Science Fair at the School of Foundation Studies(SoFS) was held on December 16, 2024, under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Rashid Mohamed Al Alawi, Director General of Khoula Hospital. Centered around the theme “Confluence of Science & Technology,” the event aimed to familiarize students with the integration of science and technology, offering insights into their principles and practical applications.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address delivered by Dr. Sleem Khalfan Al Habsi, Director of SoFS. Students from various levels and sections at SoFS and across National University campuses presented an impressive array of projects, showcasing innovative applications of science and technology. The exhibition was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Al Alawi.
In addition to the project displays, the event featured an engaging in-house quiz and a competitive intercollegiate debate. Prizes were awarded in several categories, including Best Project Display, Best Speaker, Best Poster, and the winning teams of quiz and debate.
The Science Fair exemplified the school’s commitment to fostering scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and collaborative learning among its students, while celebrating the synergy between science and technology.
