On February 27, 2025, the School of Foundation Studies (SoFS) at the Airport Heights Campus celebrated eight new English teachers at a lively CELTA graduation at 1:30 PM. The Cambridge-accredited CELTA qualification equips them to teach English worldwide.
Dr. Sleem Khalfan Al-Habsi, SoFS Director, opened the event, urging graduates to excel, and presented the certificates. Mr. Christopher Hart, Course Tutor, gave a warm felicitation speech, while Mr. Nelson, Main Course Tutor, joined the director on the dais. Ms. Yashmin Mansuria, SoFS English Lecturer, delivered the vote of thanks.
The four-week CELTA program, offered each semester, builds practical teaching skills. Some graduates shared how the course boosted their confidence and teaching abilities.
