The Students Formal Induction for Fall2021-2022 was held in the Assembly Hall on September 27, 2021. The program had two sessions in order to cater for the morning and afternoon shifts. The students in the morning shift attended from 10:00-11:00 a.m. while the afternoon shift joined the program from 12:30-1:30. In the session, the SoFS director, Dr. Sleem welcomed the guests and the students. Next to that was the inspirational talk of Dr. Ali Saud Al Bimani, the Vice-Chancellor of NUST. Also, Dr. Salim Al Araimi, DVC-NUST joined the program, and he rendered motivational talk for the young students. What’s more, the deans of different departments came to welcome the Foundation students, and they also gave a little background about their departments. The deans who came were Dr. Ahmed Hassan Al Bulushi, Engineering Dept., Dr. Khalid Al Balushi, Pharmacy, and Dr. Mohammad Al Shafaee, Medicine and Health Sciences who shared his talk by video presentation. The induction concluded with vote of thanks by the SoFS Alumni students. After the program, students had a college tour and photo sessions. The HSE COVID protocols were strictly adhered throughout the event, and it was indeed a successful induction for FDN students Fall 2021-2022.
