The program began with a welcome address by the Director of the School of Foundation Studies, Dr. Sleem Khalfan Al Habsi. It was then followed by an inspirational talk by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Ali Al Bimani. The Deputy Vice Chancellor & Provost for Academic Affairs & Research, Dr. Salim Al Araimi was also present amongst the esteemed audience. The Deans of the College of Medicine (Prof. Mohammad Al Shafaee), College of Engineering (Dr. Ahmed Hassan Al Bulushi) and the College of Pharmacy (Dr. Khalid Al Bulushi) too gave encouraging and supportive advice to our newly enrolled SoFS students. A short video about the various activities conducted at SoFS in the previous years was displayed. Students were made aware of the importance of studies and at the same time engage in multiple activities on campus to enhance their learning experience.
