The importance of English as a medium of communication in an academic context cannot be exaggerated. And, nowadays, it is almost impossible to learn or teach a technical branch of knowledge such as engineering without the linguistic support of the English language. In addition to basic English courses to provide foundation in reading, listening, speaking and grammar, the English department offers an ESP course for MD/B.Pharm students. This course focus on the specific language needs of medicine/pharmacy programs and encourage students. Study Skills: It is critical that our students develop good study skills in order to master the material required to obtain a degree in Engineering, Medicine and Pharmacy. Skills including time management, effective note taking, revising one’s work and preparing for exams are primarily embedded in English language courses.
