Awareness Event on Safe Driving Held at SoFS

An awareness event was held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the Assembly Hall of the School of Foundation Studies, (SoFS), Airport Heights campus. The program was organized in collaboration with the Directorate General of Traffic as part of the ongoing GCC Traffic Week, under the theme “Driving Without a Phone.”

The event aimed to highlight the dangers of mobile phone use while driving and promote safe driving habits among young drivers. A brief but impactful awareness lecture was delivered, emphasizing the importance of staying focused behind the wheel and avoiding distractions caused by mobile devices. As part of the program, students of the college also put together a simple yet creative exhibition to spread awareness on the topic. Posters, models, and interactive displays encouraged fellow students to think critically about road safety and the consequences of distracted driving.
