On May 27, 2025, the School of Foundation Studies (SoFS) at the National University of Science and Technology hosted a special event at the Airport Heights Campus to celebrate the official launch of the Knowledge Exchange Workshop Proceedings Book, as part of its ongoing NURG-funded research initiative.
The event began with a welcome address by Mr. Sreehari V M, Chair of GSRIC-SoFS, followed by a facilitation speech by Dr. Sleem Khalfan Al-Habsi, Director of SoFS, highlighting the importance of collaborative research and educational innovation.
Mr. Ahammed Basheer, Head of the English Language and Study Skills Department, then introduced the book, providing an overview of its content and significance. The publication captures key discussions and outcomes from the Knowledge Exchange Workshop held on February 4, 2025, under the theme “Innovative Pedagogies and Educational Strategies: Reshaping the Future of GFP, Oman.”
The highlight of the event was the official launch of the book by Prof. K P Ramachandran, Dean of the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Research, followed by a short video presentation showcasing the workshop’s key themes and impact.
Dr. Geethu Anne, Principal Investigator of the NURG project, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to all contributors. The event concluded with the inauguration of the new Research Office at SoFS by Prof. Ramachandran, further affirming the school’s commitment to research and academic excellence.
