SoFS conducted a three-day Induction Program for the new students after completing the NU Placement Test [NUPT] from September 18 to the 20th, 2023. About 575 students attended the program.
Day 1 began with the distribution of the induction schedule followed by a welcome session by Heads of Departments. Students were briefed about NU campus life by the alumni students and a video was screened that emphasized the various programs offered at NU. Students were also given an opportunity to enroll in various clubs run at the campus. Staff then took them on a guided tour of the campus.
On Day 2, students were briefed about Student Affairs department, hostel life, library facilities, and introduced to NU rules and protocols, courses, and assessment regulations through an online gamified program.
On Day 3, students were first introduced to the NU Learning Management System they would use for their courses at SoFS, and later briefed on the Academic Advising Procedures, Health, and Safety protocols on campus. The session ended with a game and a survey on the Induction Program.
