A student has the right to appeal if he / she is not satisfied with the Final Examination results only under certain valid grounds such as errors in marking, calculation of marks and mark entry into the system.
Mere disagreement or mass appeal by students against the marks/grades awarded shall not constitute valid grounds for appeal and not accepted whatsoever.
Students shall contact their Academic Advisor for clearing queries before appealing.
Students cannot appeal against the results of In-course exams / End of rotation exams and Continuous Assessment components. However, students can approach the course coordinator for specific feedback.
If there is a valid reason for making an appeal, the student must approach the Academic Assessment Office (AAO) as soon as possible.
Any delay in the submitting of the appeal shall not be processed as the whole appeal process must be completed within 10 working days of the announcement of the final exam results.
The student will receive an appointment via email from the AAO to review the final exam results in the presence of AAO staff and faculty.
Students who are still not satisfied must immediately fill in the Appeals Form in the AAO after payment of an administrative fee of RO 15/- (for each final exam) to complete the process.
Students who wish to make an appeal for more than one final exam should submit a separate Appeal Form for each final exam.
An academic appeal can have any of the three outcomes i.e., increase in mark, decrease in mark or the same mark.
Appeals outcome will be informed to students by the College Registry & Records Office via student official email within 10 working days of initiating the appeal process.
The administrative fee of RO 15/- will be refunded only if the appeal leads to a change in marks awarded.
The decision of the Academic Appeals Committee (AAC) is final and binding.
