COMHS represents Oman at the WFME International Symposium on “Good Practices in Undergraduate Medical Education”

COMHS was invited to participate in the “World Federation for Medical Education Good Practices Symposium on Undergraduate Medical Education 2024” which was held in Istanbul from 22nd to 24th May 2024, organised by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Medical Education Programs. The symposium was designed to foster regional and global dialogue on enhancing the quality of undergraduate medical education to meet the evolving needs of society and the healthcare system, with a focus on accreditation and educational best practices. The Dean of COMHS, Prof. Mohammed Al Shafaee presented our experiences on “HOT-Cases for Curricular Integration during Clinical Clerkships” explaining the innovative approaches adopted for vertical integration during clinical years. Prof. Ciraj Ali Mohammed, Head of Medical Education shared the best practices on pioneering Interprofessional Education initiatives in the region aimed at fostering collaborative practice among students from different healthcare professions.
