Pharmaceutics

The Pharmaceutics Department teaches courses related to formulation of drugs and their evaluation. The courses focus on studying the Pharmacokinetic principles and their application in Clinical settings. Microbiological evaluation of various formulations and active pharmaceutical ingredients are also covered along with techniques used to carry out the microbiological testing. Various techniques involved in formulation of dosage forms and the Good manufacturing techniques are taught which prepare the students to work in Pharmaceutical establishments including Research and Development units.

All the courses are taught using latest educational methodologies. Well equipped laboratories with state of the art facilities help the students to learn about formulation of dosage forms and their evaluation. Adequate facilities for Research have helped the researchers to prepare new drug delivery systems.

Pharmaceutics Department is also providing consulting and testing facilities to the drug manufacturing companies in Oman to analyse their samples.

The Department of Pharmaceutics has a highly qualified, experienced and committed Faculty. Besides imparting quality education, they are actively involved in research, have published in peer-reviewed journals with a high impact factor.
