Pharmaceutical Marketing and Leadership

The Industry and Community engagement Committee chaired by Prof. Majed AbuKhader has successfully organized a short course titled: “Pharmaceutical Marketing and Leadership” which was conducted over two days. There were four speakers presented and shared their expertise in marketing and leadership.

The speakers were from industry and academia and covered a wide range of topics to suit the audience from mixed backgrounds. In day one, Prof. Alka Ahuja presented topics related to leadership and management, Ph Fahd Othmani (Pleiades Healthcare) presented a topic related to marketing strategies and its application. In day two, Ph Matab Khalid (Azhar Polyclinic Oman) presented a topic related to how to create and establish a successful pharmaceutical business in Oman which was followed by a topic related to pharmacoeconomics which was presented by Dr Yaman Kassab.

The feedback collected from the participants was positive and they appreciated the efforts in offering such short courses to the pharmacists in the pharmaceutical sector which can add positively into their career development.
