Participation at Interprofessional Patient Safety Workshop 2025

The College of Pharmacy contributed three academic staff members as facilitators: Dr. Yaman Walid Kassab, Dr. Abdulsalam Nazmi, and Dr. Kannan Omer Ahmed. They supported the workshop by guiding discussions, clarifying patient safety concepts, and providing structured feedback to student groups.

A total of twenty-five pharmacy students from different years participated. They engaged in case analysis, group tasks, and presentations. Their contributions added value to the discussions by highlighting medication-related risks and the role of pharmacists in patient safety.

The workshop strengthened collaboration between the participating institutions and demonstrated the impact of interprofessional learning on students’ understanding of patient safety. The involvement of pharmacy staff and students supported the goals of the College of Pharmacy in promoting shared learning and preparing students for team-based clinical environments.
