A delegation of students from Oman higher education institutions is participating in the “Chinese Language Bridge” program hosted by the People’s Republic of China in China from July 14 to July 27. This program aims to strengthen cultural and educational relations between the Sultanate of Oman and China, and to implement memorandum of understanding in the fields of higher education and student exchange.

The delegation includes outstanding students from various universities and colleges in Oman, who are selected based on academic excellence and interest in the Chinese language and culture. The program aims to develop students’ language and cultural skills and enhance their understanding of Chinese society through a series of workshops, educational activities, and field visits. Ms. Shamsaa Al-Sarkhi is representing CoP, NU.

The program was organized in cooperation between the Ministry and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Muscat, in addition to accredited Chinese language institutes in both countries.

This participation is a valuable opportunity for students to engage directly with Chinese culture and build bridges of understanding and cooperation between the youth of both countries, enhancing cultural exchange and supporting bilateral relations in the fields of education and innovation.

As part of the program, Shamsaa is attending introductory Chinese language classes, learning about Chinese culture and traditions, and engaging in activities that allow for meaningful interaction with students from different backgrounds. Ms. Shamsa describes it as a unique and enriching experience, and she is looking forward to the learning and connections in the coming days.
