The CoP Library proudly hosted its Library Day event on April 21, 2026, in an atmosphere filled with intellectual enthusiasm and creative expression. The event was held under the patronage of Professor Khalid Al-Balushi, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, reflecting the institution’s strong support for academic and cultural initiatives.

The program commenced with an inspiring opening speech delivered by Mr. Sultan Al-Bakri, Head of the CoP Library, who emphasized the vital role of libraries in fostering knowledge, supporting research, and nurturing a culture of reading within the academic community.

The event was further enriched by the participation of Ms. Salha Said Al Salty, Head of the Literature and Islamic Culture Club, whose presence reflected the importance of student-led initiatives in promoting cultural and literary engagement on campus. The event was organized by students of the group, with valuable support from Ms. Basma Abdulla Al Saadi, Ms. Khalood Khalifa AL Shibli, and Mr. Younis Khalifa Al Ghafri.

The celebration was structured around three main segments. It began with the Director’s address, followed by an exhibition showcasing short stories written by female students from the College of Pharmacy. The exhibition highlighted the students’ creativity and their ability to express thoughtful ideas through literary writing.

A key highlight of the event was a lively literary debate between students from the College of Pharmacy,NU and the Global College of Engineering and Technology. The debate demonstrated strong critical thinking, communication skills, and a spirit of constructive dialogue among participants.

The event concluded with an interactive Kahoot competition focused on library knowledge, which added an element of excitement and engagement for attendees.
