Mr. Sajid Shaikh, Vice President – Commercial at National Pharmaceutical Industries Co (SAOC), Oman, delivered a lecture on Brand business plans to final year B.Pharm. students at the College of Pharmacy, NU. He is a pharmaceutical expert with over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, and operations across MENA, GCC, India, CIS, and Africa. He has held key leadership roles including Acting CEO of NPI and Chief Business Development Officer.
The session, attended by 50 participants including faculty and students, focused on key aspects of pharmaceutical product planning. Topics included Market Analysis using IMS data, Competitive Analysis, and SWOT Analysis. Mr. Sajid also discussed Marketing Strategy, covering objectives, tactics, pricing, and brand positioning. He highlighted communication plans, doctor visit strategies, and aligning customer coverage with sales targets. The lecture concluded with insights into financial planning to support product success and questions and answers from the attendees. This session, aligned with the teaching course in Pharmaceutical Management provided the attendees with the opportunity to learn about unique marketing strategies.
