On March 1, 2026, Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Sulaimi, Head of the Institutional Funding Programs and Grants Department at the Research and Innovation Authority, conducted an introductory workshop on the Block Funding Program at the College of Pharmacy.

During the workshop, the speaker highlighted the different types of grants available under the program and explained the eligibility criteria for each category. He also provided a practical demonstration of the most common mistakes that occur when applying for funding through the Research Information Management System (RIMS), giving clear guidance on how to avoid them.

The workshop was interactive, with discussion and clarification, followed by a question-and-answer session. Nearly 60 participants, including students and faculty members, benefited from the workshop, which was organized by the College Graduate Studies, Research, and Innovation Committee.
