Aligning Pharmacy Education with International Standards: Launch of MyDispense Clinical Simulation Platform

The College of Pharmacy recently conducted an interactive clinical simulation activity using the MyDispense virtual pharmacy platform for fourth-year final students as part of Introduction to Clinical Practice Skills (OSCE) and Pharmacy Practice III (Clinical Pharmacy) courses. The activity was facilitated by Dr. Kannan Omer and Dr. Yaman Kassab.
This initiative aimed to strengthen clinical competence, patient counseling skills, and professional readiness through realistic dispensing and pharmaceutical care scenarios. Students engaged in prescription assessment, identification of drug-related problems, and simulated patient communication within a safe learning environment supported by structured faculty feedback.
The activity aligns with international pharmacy education standards emphasizing competency-based training, medication safety, and practice readiness. Simulation-based learning continues to play an important role in bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world clinical pharmacy practice.
The College remains committed to innovative educational approaches that prepare future pharmacists to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
