Third Train the Trainers Workshop

Department of Pharmacy Practice and Placement and Alumni Office organized and conducted a one day “Train the Trainer” workshop with participation of hospital pharmacy preceptors from Ministry of Health Hospitals (Royal Hospital, Khoula Hospital, Sohar Hospital, Al Rustaq Hospital and Al Buraimi Hospital), University Medical City (Sultan Qaboos University Hospital and Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Center) and the Medical City Hospital for Military and Security Services.

An external speaker Ph. Waeil Hassan Al Naeem, Director, Pharmacy Residency Program, SEHA, Abu Dhabi, UAE and Director, ISPOR UAE Chapter conducted an online session about “Bridging Academia and Practice: Optimizing Preceptor Development in Pharmacy Training”.

The workshop aims to provide the clinical perceptors of the College of Pharmacy students in hospitals with the knowledge and the practical training skills required for effective delivering of practical training in hospital pharmacies.
