In pursuit of reaching its vision of becoming an internationally renowned University and achieving its mission & strategic goals, NU has identified several projects to enhance NU’s position in the world academic rankings.

SDG Goal Leads, Team Members and Ranking Committee members have put in unstinted efforts to collect several pieces of evidence and data of 60+7 indicators. In coordination with DQAE, Ranking Office processed and validated around 439 pieces of evidence. Ranking Office has developed an exclusive Impact Ranking Dashboard for quick monitoring and follow up.
On 12th Nov 2021, NU has successfully completed the process of uploading data and evidence into THE Impact Ranking – Data Collection Portal.
It is the first time NU has applied for the Impact Ranking, and from Oman, no HEI has ever participated or got ranked. Thus, it is anticipated that THE Impact Ranking outcomes will be another excellent beginning for NU in Academic Ranking projects (after NU has made significant achievements in THE and QS Arab Region ranking projects). The full ranking result of THE Impact Ranking 2022 will be published in April 2022.
