Ms.Aaisha Al Maktumi one of the recent graduate student of Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering, College of Engineering was presented her research findings at the above-mentioned event at Sultan Qaboos University during 12-16 July 2020. The aim of this gathering was to allow the participants to gain experience in different engineering fields, as well as to give engineers the opportunity to present their project findings to the experts from OQ, OXY and PDO. This forum was supported by HH Sayyid Dr Fahad Bin Al Julanda Al Said the president of Sultan Qaboos University.
Ms Aaisha carried out her work under the supervision of Dr. Lakkim N Rao in her graduation project on one of the strategic important area “Zero Flaring”. Ms.Aaisha presented her project titled “Fuel Cell Technology to Get Zero Flaring” which aimed to reduce flaring and use the fuel cell technology to produce electricity from flared gases at the event, which attracted many scientific researchers & experts from the industries for further discussions and bagged First prize in the project competition. College of Engineering, the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering congratulates Ms.Aaisha and wish her very best in future research and innovative plans.
