He has been on the list of the top 1% of highly-cited researchers since 2019, and Web of Science named him one of the most influential researchers in the world. In 2022 and 2023, The Australian newspaper recognized him as a global leader in Artificial Intelligence and a national leader in the Evolutionary Computation and Fuzzy Systems fields. He serves as a senior member of IEEE and holds editorial positions at several top AI journals, including Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Applied Soft Computing, Neurocomputing, Advances in Engineering Software, Computers in Biology and Medicine, Healthcare Analytics, Applied Intelligence, and Decision Analytics.
Ali Safaa Sadiq Al Shakarchi (Ali) is an Associate Professor in Cybersecurity at Nottingham Trent University and the director of the Cyber Security Research Group. He is also a senior IEEE member and adjunct staff at Monash University, as well as an honorary Associate Professor at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research and Optimisation, Torrens University Australia. With a strong academic background, Ali has held positions as a senior lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton and Monash University, Malaysia. He has completed a first degree in Computer Science and gained five years of industrial experience before obtaining his MSc and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science. Ali has an impressive research record, publishing papers in international journals and conferences. He has been involved in research projects on network security and flood analysis. Notably, he has served as a co-investigator in the CYBERMIND project, funded by Innovate UK, and led the TrustMe project, developing a platform for AI security and trust. Ali’s entrepreneurial spirit led to the commercialization of the TYMLO platform through his company, TYMLO Technology Ltd. In addition to his research achievements, Ali has supervised several Ph.D. and Master’s students, focusing on Cybersecurity, Wireless Communications, and AI applications in the Internet of Things and the Internet of Vehicles.

His research interests are in the areas of machine design, optimization techniques,
manufacturing practices, renewable energy, and engineering sustainable development. He is a well-known researcher in the field of Abrasive Waterjet Cutting Technology and has evaluated several PhD theses in Mechanical Engineering from various universities. He is the approved supervisor of many universities including Curtin University, Australia to guide PhD scholars and has produced many PhDs. He is a member of many professional societies including SAE, ASHRAE, IMechE, ASME, EI, ASQ, and ISTE. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), UK and Associate Fellow of Curtin Academy,Australia.
He presently holds the role of Director of Technology Programs Office at the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, where he oversees the National Program for DigitalEconomy. Additionally, he serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences and is actively engaged in research and review within the fields of Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence. With 18 years of experience in Information Technology spanning across private, academic, and government sectors. He obtained his PhD in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, and holds several professional certifications from reputable organizations such as Google, EC-Council, and CompTIA.
Abdullah Saif Al Araimi is a strategy, digital and innovation manager at OmanLNG, a leading liquefied natural gas (LNG) company in Oman. He is responsible for developing and implementing the company’s IT strategic vision, digital transformation and innovation initiatives. He has over 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, spanning various roles in IT field. Abdullah holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from Ohio State University. Heis passionate about leveraging technology and innovation to create value and solve challenges in theenergy sector.
Abdullah has participated in several conferences and forums as a speaker, jury and panelist, sharing his insights and best practices on strategy, digital and innovation. He has also received several awards and recognitions for his outstanding performance and contributions to OmanLNG and the industry.
After graduating from Ohio State University, Abdullah worked for two years in a reputed supercomputer center in the United States, where he gained valuable experience and skills in high-performance computing and data analytics. Dr. Pelin Bolat is vice dean, responsible for education and student affairs, in ITU Maritime Faculty. She has a bachelor degree in Nuclear Engineering, MSc degree in Strategy Science and has a PhD Degree in Maritime Transportation Engineering. After working UNIDO-ICHET as a graduate assistant, she appointed as research assistant in ITU-Maritime Faculty in 2006. After she hold her PhD in Shanghai Maritime University in 2011, she continued to be a research associate in ITU Maritime Faculty. She worked in European Commission Joint Research Center Institute for Energy and Transportation as Energy and Transportation Systems Modeling Expert during post graduate studies between 2012-2014. She has been Assistant Professor in ITU – MF between 2014-2021. Since 2021, she has been Associate Professor in ITU–MF. Her research areas maritime security, maritime cyber security, digitalization, maritime policy and management, decarbonization and maritime education and training. She is now director of Maritime Security and Cyber Threats Research Laboratory in ITU-MF. She is also a committee member of International Maritime Lecturer Associations (IMLA). She has participated in IMO-MEPC meetings with Turkish Delegate as advisor since 2022.
Muhammad Attique Khan (Member IEEE) earned his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Human Activity Recognition for Application of Video Surveillance and Skin Lesion Classification using Deep Learning from COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan. He is currently an Assistant Professor of the Computer Science Department at HITEC University Taxila, Pakistan. His primary research focus in recent years is medical imaging, COVID-19, MRI analysis, Video Surveillance, Human Gait Recognition, and Agriculture Plants using Deep Learning. He has above 290 publications that have more than 11,000+ citations and an impact factor of 820+ with h-index 65 and i-Index 181. He is reviewer of several reputed journals such as IEEE transaction on Industrial Informatics, IEEE transaction of Neural Networks, Pattern Recognition Letters, Pattern recognition, Future Generations, Multimedia Tools and Application, Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, IET Image Processing, Biomedical Signal processing Control, IET Computer Vision, Eurasipe Journal of Image and Video Processing, IEEE Access, MDPI Sensors, MDPI Electronics, MDPI Applied Sciences, MDPI Diagnostics, and MDPI Cancers. She received her B.E degree from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and her ME and Ph.D. degrees from Anna University, Chennai, India. CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership from the UK is a testament to her exceptional leadership qualities. Throughout her career, Dr. T. Sasilatha has authored over 250 articles in refereed international journals and conferences and has been the Principal Investigator for several research projects worth 629 Lakhs sponsored by esteemed organizations such as the Department of Science and Technology, All India Council for Technical Education, MSME and TNSCST.
