Published 4 book chapters The main research area focusses on Metal Matrix Composites (MMC’s), Nano and amorphous materials, Characterization of materials, Smart materials and structures, Mechanical and tribological studies of Materials, Strengthening and failure analysis of composite materials

Key Achievements in Teaching and Research

  • Organization: Caledonian College of Engineering, Oman
    Description: Being Department IV Coordinator, I have conducted Industrial visits to the students of MIE Dept to interrelate on a consistent basis with Industries by way of visiting many distinguished companies in and around Muscat to gain them industrial exposure, thus preparing them for the real life corporate world. And also invited prominent personalities from various industries and top institutions to share their valuable information and knowledge from their experience to our students.
    Outcome: Arranged over 200 Industry visits and 20 Guest lectures to the students over the past 3 years. The Students are imparted with knowledge about Industry needs and latest technical updates.

    Description: Successfully completed Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India by fulfilling the requirement as prescribed under the regulations, on 15th March 2019. I have also received the degree certificate during the 15th convocation held on 7th September 2019. Thesis entitled Investigations into the Effects of Stirrer Design on Reinforcement Particle Distribution during MMC production Under the supervision of Prof.M.C.Majumder (NITD), Prof.R.V.Murali (NUST)

  • Organization: Royal Opera House Muscat
    Description: Arranged a staff visit to Royal Opera House Muscat on 04th November 2015, and participated in a technical presentation. A group of 17 staff members from MIE dept participated in the visit. The presentation was about the technical aspects of the theatre. This fascinating and informative event featured members from the in-house technical team who presented a lecture-demonstration explaining some of the technological effects that happen backstage at The Royal Opera House Muscat.
    Outcome: The staff members enhanced thir knowledge about the Sound Engineering, Lighting, Stage, Wardrobe and Costume design in ROHM
