Description: Accompanied a students team (16 students) for an intensive training on Analytical instrumentation, Software application and Project work case studies to Vellore Institute of Technology (VITU) India through students exchange programme. This visit was sponsored by both caledonian college and VITU India.
Outcome: The 7 days program was highly useful and interactive for students. Students have gained knowledge on visiting various research laboratories and also exposed to academic and student facilities at the campus. Furthermore, students were provided with the opportunity to discuss their project and dissertation topics, and to interact with students and staff at VIT University.

Description: My project student Ms Huda Mubarak Ali Al Mukhaini (Student No 11044), level 4 Chemical Engineering had won 1st prize in the 7th Engineering Gathering which was held in Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) during 3rd April to 6th April 2016.
The project titled Process synthesis of degradable bio plastics from waste banana peels was considered as best project and selected for first prize in the category of Best Sustainable projects.

Description: My project student Ms Tasnim Al Dawudi (130943), Level 4 chemical engineering had won FIRST PRIZE in the Oral Presentation for the paper titled ¿Experimental Investigation on the production of Biodisel using Algae strains in the National symposium NSETEM-2017 conducted by Waljat College of Applied Science on 14th November 2017.
Outcome: Student had enriched and explored the modern techniques on production of biodiesel and interacted with her fellow students who have come from all over the Oman. This experience and confident made her to present her paper in other international conferences out of Oman as well.

Description: Organized the National level SPE Annual Students Poster Competition in coordination with SPE Oman section, PDO and British Petroleum. This competition was fully sponsored by PDO and British petroleum. The students from all over the Oman have gathered in one platform and presented their research work through a poster presentation by means of a competition. The external juries from PDO, British petroleum and other leading oil and gas industries in Oman have evaluated the performance of the students. It is really worth to note that our own student had won FIRST PRIZE in the competition. The event was covered up in media, Radio and in all leading daily newspapers.
