Outcome: A number of students from foundation joined our college in MIE department.

Description: Teaching/Learning:
In the capacity of a member in Learning and Teaching Committee (LTC) representing MIE department, got involved in developing the action plan for implementation of 10 design principles of GCU-SfL.
Disseminating LTC goals and outcomes to all MIE faculty members (Examples like capturing lecture videos: Around 50 videos were produced by MIE staff when some dept. were about to start the account. ELearning activities, etc.,)
Outcome: Students use these videos for learning. Many staff members are waiting for the opportunity to capture video.

Organization: Industrial Innovation Center
Description: Funded Research: Instrumental in promoting funded projects from IIC at the capacity of department research coordinator. Principal Investigator for the first Industrial Innovation Center (IIC) funded a project titled 'Water from Air' to CCE.
Outcome: This has opened the way for getting more funded projects from IIC and bagged 3 more funded projects for the college through MIE at that time.

Description: Smartboard is used not only for PPTs slides but extensively used for classrooms learning activities. Uploaded the same material written through smartboard in CCE Learn for further references to the students.
Outcome: Many students, especially SPTs who have missed some classes get fully benefited out of it. Conducted Staff development workshop on using Smartboard.

Description: Staff Exchange visit: Arranged GCU Guest Lecture for students: Prof. Mahmoud El Sharif was invited from GCU, UK to deliver a lecture series on the topic `Pumps and Flow systems¿. The schedule for the Guest Lecture during his visit was prepared; transportation and other logistics were arranged. Information sent to all students and motivated them to attend the classes.
Outcome: Students and staff attended have got exposure and knowledge in attending lectures from GCU Professor.

Organized and coordinated Finishing school program for our graduate students for the past 4 years under the capacity of Department coordinator. Took a prime role for 2 years when the lead coordinator was on annual leave.
Outcome: Graduates have acquired additional knowledge on facing the real world and geared up themselves for the market expectations and challenges

Description: SPT coordinator: Took the responsibility of department SPT coordinator and did my duties to the best of my ability in explaining the SPT charter and guiding them in academic, attendance and non-academic matters for 2 years. Also spent enough time giving attention to each and every SPT student to my possible extent to support them during admission.
Outcome: SPT students know about their responsibilities and had a feeling that the coordinator is there for them in the college for support at difficult times.

Description: Quality enhancement:
Took a lead role in the enhancement of the module research methodology coursework description with a clear indication to the students on what and how to present their CW, when I was the module leader for Research Methodology. Have conducted a briefing session on the enhanced CW and evaluation procedure during that time.
Outcome: Students now have a clear idea of what to be presented in their RM report and Staff members clearly know the process of flow in the module

Description: Developed simple teaching aids with wood and rubber to explain and understand the basic concepts of axial loading, strain, bending moment, twisting moment. More emphasis is provided on laboratory activities to make students physically feel these concepts by hand and to develop skills to correlate with theoretical concepts.
Outcome: Students find ease in understanding the basic concepts and apply appropriately.
