The industry and community engagement committee chaired by Prof. Majed AbuKhader has successfully organized a short course titled: Mastering Biostatistics from Data to decision: Application of SPSS in Healthcare research<\/span> which was conducted in two days. Dr Yaman Kassab, an assistant professor in clinical pharmacy at the college of pharmacy NU, presented and shared his expertise in the field of epidemiology and biostatistics. In the two days of the course, Dr Yaman covered the main aspects required to perform biostatistics through using SPSS software. He shared a wide range of hands on examples and case studies to allow the participants to use various statistical methods\/tools and the appropriate way to tackle statistical problems. He also guided the participants on how to link the statistical outcomes with the clinical interpretation of the findings. The feedback collected from the participants was positive and they appreciated the efforts in offering such short courses to enhance research outcomes and appropriate usage of biostatistics in the pharmaceutical and medical research. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
